Lucky Chance, Lucky Boy (30-5-4-9 $30,520) and Yachi Da (29-3-3-4 $19.034 and 1:55.0 USA) Best horse you've sold away from the yearling sales? Yachi Da and Lucky Boy. Best priced yearling sold at the Sales? Mr Williams. Favourite all time stallions? Live or Die and Holmes Hanover. What new season sires are you most excited about? Don’t routinely go to new season stallions.

Is research an important aspect in choosing a stallion for your mare?

Not very important.

How important is the stallion size?

Not very.

Do you prefer to see the stallion choices in the flesh?

No.

As a professional breeder, how often do you buy outside mares to broaden your breeding stock?

Never.

What feeding plan do you follow when rearing your foals?

Common sense - oats, chaff, lucerne, good grass and a few supplements.

If you breed primarily pacers, would you ever consider breeding trotters?

Have done both.

What do you most enjoy about breeding horses?

Watching them progress to be racehorses.

What do you consider to be the most challenging aspect about breeding horses today?

Finding the dollars to pay the service fees!!
