Editors note: The win came in a heat of the Southern Supremacy Stakes at Wyndham in March 1989. Trained by Allan McVicar the Trusty Scott three year old gelding won by seven lengths.

Editors note: Peter Hunter drove Grenadier for brother Hamish to win the 2004 Wairio Cup. Hamish had three horses in the race. Apache Jay finished second driven by Colin DeFilippi while his own drive Galleons Treasure ran ninth. Grenadier paid $15.25 and ran the 2400 metres in 3-03.5. He started from the 20 metre mark.
