Phil Williamson and Kirk Larsen.

Have you ever worked in harness racing overseas?

Ross Payne in Melbourne while I was campaigning On Over Kenny. It was for six weeks.

When did you start driving?

As young as I can remember. Raceday was at the Kurow meeting in 2005.

Editor's note: Nathan's first drive was on a horse called Rustic. He ran last in the first race. He drove Brooker for his father in the very next race and ran third.

Who has had the most influence on your career to date?

My Dad. He's given me a lot of opportunities as far as raceday driving is concerned. He's also taught me a lot about training horses.

How many winners have you driven?

217 (End of the 2009-2010 season).

Best season:

2007-2008 - 62 winners

Best pacer driven?

Beaudiene Bad Babe.

Editor's note: Nathan has driven Beaudiene Bad Babe once. It was at Wyndham in November 2008 when she won her first race as a three year old

Best trotter driven?

Springbank Richard and Jasmyn's Gift

Editor's note:Nathan has driven Springbank Richard in all of his seventeen wins in New Zealand plus two in Australia. He drove Jasmyn's Gift to win five of her seventeen wins.

Favourite course?

Omakau. Great atomsphere and nice 1200 track.

What would you like to have achieved in harness racing in ten years time?

Training a few winners and keep driving a good number of winners.

What Southland race would you most like to win?

Invercargill Cup. It's the biggest in Southland and you have to be a very good horse to win it.

What do you love about harness racing in Southland?

The friendly people and the thrill of winning races.
