Qualifying Pace 2200 metres (required time - 2-58.3)
Although Panamach won impressively he didn't qualify. He overaced at the 400 metres when in tight quarters before breaking and losing considerable ground. He charging home to win by a nose ensurin g plenty of talk from those who saw the run. Nai Sivad, which received a nice trip behind the leader Gundaguy, ran second while Donna's X Factor finished third. Nai Sivad is by Washington VC out of the Vance Hanover mare Commodore Lass.He is related to Mighty Me (11 wins) and Nanoose (3 wins). Nai Sivad, trained by Tony Stratford ran his trial in 2-52.2.
Qualifying Pace 2200 metres (required time 2-58.3)
There were no qualifiers in this heat. The Farmer lead all the way but ran greenly. There were no other takers for the lead and all behind the leader suffered because of the slow pace.
Qualifying Mobile 2200 metres (required time - 2-55.3)
Georgi Boy lead from the start. He is by In The Pocket out of a half sister to Victoria Star (19 wins). He has plenty of trotting blood in his pedigree. Trained by Alan Paisley he was driven by Carl Hanna. His time was 2-51.9
Fiery Count ran home nicely for second, running his last 800 metres in 57.4. He is from a nice family and a half brother to Stay N Alive (6 wins) and the promising Red River Road. Betta Keep Safe received a nice run behind the leader to also qualify in 2-52.8.
Mobile Pace 2200 metres (non-winners)
Matai Denny lead all the way to win by three lengths. Cameo Cullen caught the eye running home from last to get second. She ran her last 800 metres in 58.6. Woodburn Lady, patiently handled, sprinted home well to get third. All look like early maiden winners.
Mobile Pace 2200 metres (Up to 1 win)
The Brent McIntrye trained Union Bromac came from last to win with plenty in hand pacing her last 800 metres in 58.4. All five raunners finished closely packed. Cash Reserve ran home for second while Del Sur with new trainer Brendon McLellan also looked well.
Trot 2200 metre (Up to 1 win)
Superstarourwishes cut loose early. Emily Jaccka got her head in front on the home turn but Superstarourwishes fought back to win buy a length and a half.
Pace 2200 metres (Up to 4 wins)
Jade Bromac lead for most of the way. He was joined by Classique from the 400 metres and both horse fought hard to the line with Classique winning her heat by a nose.
