How did you choose your racing colours?

They were orginially our fathers - EJ Lee.

What was your first winner?

Kute Jaccka - Very satisfying. It was just over a month since we took over the stables after Dad passed away.

Editor's note: Kute Jaccka's win came at the Wairio meeting in November 1998. She won by a length and a quarter pacing the mile in 2.00.4. At the end of her racing career Kute Jaccka record was: 54 - 4 - 9 - 5 $33,368.

Riverton Cup

New Zealand Cup - The ultimate race in harness racing.

Which New Zealand trainers do you most admire?

Malcolm Shinn - His ability and skill to train fillies and mares -  in particular two year olds.

Robert Cameron - Best all round horseman in New Zealand.

What do you consider to be the biggest challenge facing Harness Racing in Southland?

Sourcing new owners from such a small population and at the same time retaining the current ones.
